Privacy Policy

This policy describes the personal Gmail sending utility Alvin Mail Delivery, operated by Alvin Wong, and this public information website.

Data accessed and processed

The local utility receives recipient addresses, subjects, and text or HTML message bodies from the owner's authorized workflows. It uses Google OAuth credentials to send those messages through the Gmail API and receives message identifiers and API outcomes. It requests only the Gmail sending permission, not mailbox-reading, contact-management, or message-deletion access.

Purpose and sharing

Message data is used only to perform the owner's requested email delivery, prevent duplicate sends, and diagnose delivery failures. Sending necessarily transmits message content and recipient addresses to Google and delivers the email to the selected recipients and their email providers.

The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. It does not send email content or Google credentials to this website or its hosting provider. Separate local workflows that prepare or archive content are outside this sending utility and remain under the owner's control.

Local storage and protection

OAuth credentials are kept in private local runtime files with restricted filesystem permissions. Refresh credentials are updated using atomic file replacement. The utility's local delivery ledger stores caller identifiers, logical delivery keys, content fingerprints and send results, including Google message identifiers. A workflow's delivery key may contain its email subject. Message bodies are not stored in this shared delivery ledger; the originating workflow may retain its own prepared content.

Credentials are retained while needed for authorized operation. Delivery records are retained as needed to prevent duplicate sends and support troubleshooting. The owner can remove credentials and local records when retiring the utility, after resolving pending or uncertain deliveries. No fixed automatic deletion interval is currently implemented.

Control and deletion

The owner can stop local sending workflows and revoke the application's access through Google Account connections. Local data deletion requests may be sent to the contact below. Revoking access or deleting local records does not delete messages already sent to Gmail or recipients; those copies are controlled through the relevant email accounts.

Public website

This static website is hosted on Cloudflare. No application analytics, advertising scripts, registration forms or credential forms are included. Cloudflare may process standard connection and request information, such as IP addresses, for hosting and security under its privacy policy.

Google API commitments

Alvin Mail Delivery's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
